An animated history of Wimbledon tennis
A beautifully told story, capturing great moments, periodical style and the changing face of the world's most famous lawn tennis event.
The 60-second short film traces the history and journey of the sport of lawn tennis at London's Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club under the concept #TakeOnHistory. From early beginnings of the cultured game in 1877, through to the performance driven, technology enabled modern day, the story is told through multiple animation styles that reflect the era.
The film was created by Will Cottam and James Crosby at McCann, and directed by Smith & Foulkes at Nexus Studios.
